Hand Carved
Each stone is hand selected from piles and bins of rough material that is evaluated for its color, shape, pattern or texture. It is then slowly refined by Marge using lapidary tools and techniques into the pieces you see here. Everything is hand carved or cut under water with diamond plated burrs and bits to create these incredible pieces. They then go into a rock tumbler for a week to get the soft matte finish that I feel brings out more of the details in each stone.
From the Earth
I work directly with miners from around the world to find the best materials the earth has to offer. Each stone has a different story and energy that evoke different feelings. Every year I travel to the Tucson Gem and Mineral show in Tucson, AZ to the largest gem show in the world. I buy large pieces rough materials to cut down into wearable artwork.
